It’s 10:42pm and we’ve gone to bed. Ted is falling asleep peacefully and I’m feeling frenzied. This morning I went for a routine meeting with a longtime prospective donor, and he informed me he and his wife would like to make a multi-million gift to my organization.
We’ve been building our relationship for more than 2.5 years now, establishing a level of trust. So now I work on closing the gift and I’m nervous, excited, and grateful. This gift will help fund the next generation.
I’m proud and therefore, can’t sleep! 😊
